'Enterprise' Season Two DVD The same week that the Enterprise first-season sets were released, Paramount Home Entertainment released the first details of the second-season DVD box set.

Just like the first-season set, but unlike any of the other Trek series that were previously released on DVD, the second season will include audio commentary on select episodes. DVD Answers reported that writers Michael Sussman and Phyllis Strong have recorded audio commentaries, while Michael and Denise Okuda again provided text commentaries focusing on behind-the-scenes trivia and Trek lore. The studio did not specify which episodes will feature audio commentaries, but Sussman has previously said on the Trek BBS he had recorded his thoughts on "Dead Stop" and "Regeneration."

Following the Scott Bakula (Jonathan Archer) profile on the first-season set, this release will include a profile of Jolene Blalock (T'Pol), as well as of frequent Trek director and TNG star LeVar Burton (Geordi LaForge). There will be features on the best moments from season two, the making of "A Night In Sickbay," and a featurette that promises to look at the "secrets of Enterprise."

Finally, the set will include standard extras such as deleted scenes, bloopers, and several easter eggs - hidden featurettes that are not officially announced. The DVDs will be presented in anamorphic widescreen, and will feature English Dolby Digital 5.1 and 2.0 Surround tracks.

The original announcement from Paramount can be found here at DVD Answers. While the set won't be released until the 26th of July, 2005, it can already be pre-ordered at Amazon.com.
