The pig-faced Tellarites, first seen in the original Star Trek's "Journey To Babel", are set to return in "Bounty", the penultimate episode of Enterprise's sophomore season.

StarTrek.com yesterday released the below synopsis of the episode:

A Tellarite bounty hunter captures Archer intending to turn him over to the Klingons for a substantial reward. Meanwhile, T'Pol is infected with an alien pathogen that unleashes her primal Vulcan urges.

"Bounty" was written by former Birds of Prey co-executive producer Hans Tobeason and Enterprise co-producers Mike Sussman and Phyllis Strong, based on a story created by Rick Berman and Brannon Braga. Star Trek: Voyager actress Roxann Dawson directed the episode, her fifth Enterprise helming assignment.

The following guest actors will be featured in the episode:

  • Jordan Lund as Skalaar
  • Michael Garvey as Captain Goroth
  • Ed O'Ross as Gaavrin
  • Robert O'Reilly as Kago-Darr

Jordan Lund previously appeared as Kluge in The Next Generation's "Redemption, Part II" and Woban in Deep Space Nine's "The Storyteller"; his other credits include Seven Days, The Practice and Firefly. Michael Garvey has guest starred in ER, while Ed O'Ross is probably best know for playing Ruth's lover, Nikolai, on Six Feet Under.

One actor who needs no introduction is Robert O'Reilly, who portrayed Klingon Chancellor Gowron in numerous episodes of The Next Generation and Deep Space Nine. He also appeared as Scarface in TNG's "Manhunt" and a countman in DS9's "Badda-Bing Badda-Bang".

Production on "Bounty" ran from Wednesday, March 19, to Thursday, March 27. The bulk of the shoot took place in the interior of Skalaar's Tellarite shuttle, where actors Jordan Lund and Scott Bakula (Jonathan Archer) spent three-and-a-half days filming. Other scenes were shot on the bridge, a Klingon vessel and the decontamination chamber, which was put back into service for two days for the shipboard sub-plot featuring T'Pol.

The official site reported the episode will air on May 21, but according to the latest UPN schedule, "Bounty" will now be seen on May 14 in a double-bill with "First Flight". As always, the schedule is subject to change.
