UPN last night debuted a new Enterprise promo showing the first scenes from the show's third season.

Entitled "Captain's Log", the 30-second trailer is framed as a log entry by Captain Jonathan Archer in Enterprise's new briefing room, which has the luxury of chairs compared to the old mustering area on the bridge.

As Archer relates the events that led up to the NX-01's mission into the Delphic Expanse, various images of the Xindi, the new military officers (MACOs) and the Expanse itself appear on screen. At the end, the promo refers to the series as Star Trek Enterprise.

[The new Enterprise NX-01 briefing room materialises inside a viewing device. Captain Archer is pacing across the room.]

Archer: "Captain's starlog, September 10, 2153."

[The NX-02 is being constructed in spacedock.]

Archer: (off-screen) "Our mission was one of peace, but recent events have changed all that."

[The Xindi probe unleashes is destruction on Earth.]

[The probe's beam cuts a swarthe through Florida.]

Archer: (off-screen) "After Earth was brutally attacked by an unknown species, the Xindi..."

[Aerial shot of the massive trench of devastation cut by the Xindi probe.]

[The Xindi Council assembles in a shadowy chamber.]

Archer: (off-screen) "...an elite military group joined Enterprise in our search for these aliens."

[A MACO shimmies down a rope.]
