Hello World!

I watched 'Kate and Leopold' on video the other night - a totally forgettable romantic comedy, but it was great to relax and tune out for a bit. Besides, it had West Wing's Bradley Whitford in it.

There was one thing I did take notice of, though - the toaster problem. We've had our toaster for a good four or five years now, and it's never worked properly, always under-cooking or over-cooking or (my favourite), not cooking at all when the slider doesn't stay down. Despite these continual problems, we've never actually bought a new one. But I did like Leopold's solution to get the toaster to pop up at the right time. I would give it a go, but I think it's a case of "don't try this at home."
