StarTrek.com posted the first images from the season three premiere, "The Xindi", including this image of Jolene Blalock's T'Pol on the bridge, which finally sheds some light on the results of the Vulcan science officer's makeover.

Speaking with the Associated Press (via Canada.com) on the set of episode four, "Rajiin", Blalock said her hair this season will be "slightly longer, slightly lighter". "But, of course, I wouldn't want to cover my ears!" she added.

The cosmetic changes got the thumbs up from co-star Connor Trinneer (Charles 'Trip' Tucker), who said the makeover is all part of T'Pol's new attitude since leaving the Vulcan High Command. "I think it's great to have that character let her hair down a little bit and engage more," he said. "Spock, because he was half-human, was very curious about stuff, and giving T'Pol some of that is a good thing."

Nikita Ager, who plays the eponymous alien slave woman in "Rajiin", was shocked by the skimpy outfit she was given to wear in the episode. "I've got bikinis bigger than the outfit Rajiin wears when she's first seen. The costumer arrived with what looked like a roll of string to be strategically placed. I went, this is Star Trek? He went, 'Yep!'"

Several photos from the season premiere can be found at StarTrek.com. The AP's report from the set of "Rajiin" is available via Canada.com.
