Trek Two Years Ago

These were some of the major news items on September 12, 2000:

  • Voyager Season Seven Press Photos
Paramount Pictures released the final series of Voyager cast photos. Taken against a shiny blue background, the series included a rather memorable photo of Neelix and his cooking utensils.

  • Julia Houston On Trek Lessons For Voyager
About.com columnist Julia Houston posted a new article looking at the conclusions of each of the previous Trek series, and how Voyager should learn from them.

  • News Bullets
The day's news bullets included information about William Shatner's (James T. Kirk) Canadian Public Service Announcements, in which he encouraged smokers to quit. In the ad, he held up a cigarette while saying, "As a friend of mine would say: illogical!"
