    Over the past few months, a lot of info and pictures on Andromeda has already been made available, but one important thing in particular was still unknown - the look of the actual Andromeda Ascendant, the sentient starship after which the series is named.     Scans of Andromeda articles from Cinefantastique, Cinescape and Sci-Fi Magazine have been placed online, providing lots of new character info from all the staff writers, as well as production sketches from things such as an Andromeda floor droid.

  • UK Premiere Date Announced
    Sky One in the United Kingdom will start airing Andromeda just a few days after it premieres in the United States - on the 9th of October. They'll be showing the series every Monday at 8:00pm BST, occupying the current 'Star Trek: Voyager' timeslot.

  • Rush Guitarist Lifeson Writing Andromeda Theme Song
    The names of both the writer of the up-tempo Andromeda theme song and the regular series composer have been revealed. The main title song will be created by Alex Lifeson, lead guitarist of Canadian trio Rush.

'Gene Roddenberry's Andromeda' will be premiering in the week of the 2nd of October throughout the United States. It was developed by former DS9 writer Robert Hewitt Wolfe, based on the notes of Star Trek creator Roddenberry, and stars 'Hercules' actor Kevin Sorbo.
