Masterson's 'Take Out' To Make Festival Circuit

The producers of Take Out, a new film starring Chase Masterson (Leeta), hope to premiere the movie during the upcoming festival season.

PR Leap noted that Take Out, which also stars The Fugitive's Daniel Roebuck and Clueless's Justin Walker, has been submitted to Tribeca, Sundance, Cannes and several regional film festivals. First-time writer/director Seth Landau made the film in his hometown of Phoenix and completed it in Los Angeles earlier this year.

Landau used his experience as a newspaper reporter to write the drama, which concerns the fictional Arizona Tribune and its corrupt editors during the coverage of a story about the end of the fast food industry. Take Out features a cameo appearance by Neil Giuliano, the President of the Gay & Lesbian Alliance Against Defamation (GLAAD), and a musical soundtrack including Bang Sugar Bang, The Randies, Mr. Small and Midway.

Production stills from Take Out are available at The Official Chase Masterson Fan Club, which explains that Masterson plays a jazz singer in the movie and that the film also stars Daniel Schweiger of Star Trek fan parody Free Enterprise, in which Masterson also appeared.

The Internet Movie Database has additional information, including the tag line, "Food shouldn't cost less than $1." There is also information at Entertainment Zone.
