Hello World!

I really hate it when I get into the shower and there's virtually no hot water left. Especially in winter, when there's nothing better than a piping hot shower.

Unfortunately, this evening I was treated to a very lukewarm affair, which did nothing to ease those winter chills. The fact that the shower was missing one of its doors - it broke off and smashed to the ground a few months ago, not my fault, really - meant that I might as well have been taking a shower in the middle of the Antarctic.

At least when I wake up tomorrow to go to work, I'll be the first one in the shower, which will guarantee it'll be hot. The only problem is that'll I probably be too sleepy to enjoy it.

Trek Two Years Ago

These were some of the major news headlines on July 28, 1999:

  • New Nicole deBoer Interviews
Nicole deBoer (Ezri Dax) talked to the Star Trek Communicator about the Trek experience."When I started the show, I wasn't that freaked out that it was Star Trek. I tried to look at it as just another job," she said. "Then I got to the point where little things would just hit me at the end of the day. We were dealing with the Ezri and Worf story line, and when I got home, I sat on the couch with my mom and dad, and we were watching Next Generation, and I said, 'Gosh, I kissed Worf today!'"

  • Strategy Planet BotF Review
Gaming website Strategy Planet reviewed the turn-based strategy game, 'Birth Of The Federation,' and found it lacking that special something. "Birth of the Federation squeaks by being truly horrible, and manages to pull itself up to the 'inconsistent quality' category," wrote reviewer 'Tragius'. "Some portions of the game are very well done, others are truly uninspired or seemingly unfinished, and finally some bits we have all come to expect from an empire game are just plain missing. Unfortunately, this leaves Birth of the Federation (BotF) as merely an OK game rather than a really good one."
