Hello World!

In the latest poll, we're asking if you're planning to watch DS9 & Voyager creator Michael Piller's new series The Dead Zone.

If you haven't been following the latest developments, the series is based on Stephen King's book of the same name and stars Anthony Michael Hall and Nicole deBoer (DS9's Ezri Dax).

Hall plays Johnny, who wakes up after a six-year coma to discover he has psychic powers. Johnny's world has completely changed - his mother has died and his fiancée (deBoer) is now married.

In addition to Piller, Trek veterans Joe Menosky ('Darmok,' 'Scorpion'), Michael Taylor ('The Visitor'), and son Shawn Piller ('Deathwish') are also on the writing staff.

The series premieres at 10:00pm June 16 on the USA Network - check out the official site for more details.

Trek Two Years Ago

These were some of the major news items on April 28, 2000:

  • 'Star Trek: Voyager' Ratings
'Live Fast and Prosper' scored Voyager's lowest rating of the season, bringing in a 3.1 rating, 5 share. This was down from the same week in 1999, when 'Someone To Watch Over Me' managed a 3.4.

  • 'Life Line' Synopsis
UPN released the official synopsis for the upcoming Voyager episode 'Life Line,' featuring Dwight Schultz (Reg Barclay) and Marina Sirtis (Deanna Troi).

Voyager's Doctor travels 30 thousand light years to apply an otherwise unknown medical technique to his dying creator, a very reluctant and contentious Dr. Zimmerman. But saving Zimmerman's life almost costs him his own holographic existence.

  • Farewell To Joe Menosky
The official site published a tribute to Voyager co-executive producer Joe Menosky, who left the series to pursue research in Italy. "He became my right hand man," said Voyager executive producer Brannon Braga, "especially helping with the immense amount of rewriting Voyager takes. He has a kind of crazy, genius mind that brought a unique perspective to the show." The original article can still be found here.
