Hello World!

This weekend I rekindled my love for Grapefruit Juice - I'd forgotten how wonderful it is! Just plonk in a few ice cubes, and voila, you have the perfect refreshing drink.

I also discovered how wonderful shredded lettuce is with plain yoghurt. It's so simple, but absolutely delicious and especially good with curry.

These were some of the major news items on January 27 and January 26 2000:

  • Slanted Fedora Convention Report
    An extensive report from the Slanted Fedora convention in New York was posted at the Trek Nation. The article, which is still available to read here, included details of appearances by Chase Masterson (Leeta), Max Grodenchik (Rom) and Armin Shimerman (Quark).

  • Excellent 'Virtuoso' Overnight Ratings
    'Virtuoso' scored one of Voyager's better sixth season ratings, with a 4.9 rating / 7 share. Overall, the series placed fourth for the night, ahead of Get Real and Roswell.

  • More 'Andromeda' Info
    Cinescape released more information on the upcoming Gene Roddenberry's Andromeda. The article referred to characters "Captain Dylan Jericho" and "Keith Harper," who were later renamed Dylan Hunt and Seamus Harper.

  • 'I, Zimmerman' Details
    Robert Picardo (the EMH) let slip a few details from the upcoming episode 'I, Zimmerman' which would see the Doctor travel to the Alpha Quadrant to try and save his dying creator. The episode, which featured the return of Barclay and Deanna Troi, was eventually renamed 'Life Line.'
