Linda Park (Hoshi Sato) has joined the cast of Raines, a new NBC drama about an eccentric policeman who talks to dead victims to solve crimes.

The Futon Critic reported that Park and Matt Craven from Assault on Precinct 13 have signed to appear in the pilot, which stars Independence Day and Cats and Dogs' Jeff Goldblum. Other cast members include Dov Davidoff, Luis Guzmán and Nicole Sullivan.

Park will play Sally Lance on the series, in which Detective Raines' associates question his mental stability when he finds himself haunted by visions until he solves the crimes involving the people who appear to him.

The pilot is being directed by The Green Mile's Frank Darabont, noted The Futon Critic, which also has a list of development stories.

The pilot script, originally titled Seeing Red, was written by Boomtown's Graham Yost, who also penned Colm Meaney (Miles O'Brien)'s pilot 60 Minute Man for NBC.

Park and Goldblum both appeared in the Jurassic Park franchise, though not in the same films. Goldblum played Dr. Ian Malcolm in the first two films, while Park played Hannah in the third.
