The remastered version of the original series two-parter "The Menagerie," along with behind-the-scenes footage and a preview of the HD-DVD set, will be shown in movie theatres in Europe as well as the US.

StarTrek.com reported that the special engagement, which will also be shown on more than 300 screens in the US and Canada (story), will be shown in the UK, Germany, Austria, the Netherlands, Luxembourg and Belgium.

The double episode and extras will air in the UK on November 13th at 7:30 p.m., with showings in Germany on the 16th, Austria on the 17th and the Netherlands and Benelux countries on the 20th, which is the day CBS Home Entertainment will release the first season of Star Trek on HD-DVD.

Much of the footage in "The Menagerie" is adapted from the first pilot "The Cage", from which Spock is the only character to carry over to the original Star Trek series.

The European schedule for the screenings is here. The US and Canadian schedule is here.
