The DVD release of the sixth season of Star Trek: Deep Space Nine will include an in-depth look at the highly-acclaimed episode "Far Beyond the Stars" and a feature on Dax and Worf's wedding.

The complete sixth season will be released on a seven-disc set in the U.S. on November 4th, according to Amazon.com. As with previous sets, the collection will include all 26 episodes of the season.

The release will also include Crew Dossiers Julian Bashir and Quark, featuring interviews with Alexander Siddig and Armin Shimerman among others. The Sketchbook feature returns as illustrator John Eaves explains the development of ships and props from the show.

The set begins with the episodes "A Time to Stand" through "The Sacrifice of Angels", which follow the developing hostilities between Cardassian and Dominion occupiers and the station's crew. The war and the madness of Dukat are recurring themes of the season.

"In the Pale Moonlight", in which Sisko is driven to desperate actions, and "His Way", in which Kira finally reciprocates Odo's love for her, are other popular installments.

"Deep Space Nine's sixth season began ambitiously with a six-part story arc devoted to the Dominion War. This was a brave move in many ways, but a sensible one too," wrote an Amazon.com reviewer. "Whereas other sci-fi shows wouldn't commit to showing the impact of war (e.g., Babylon 5), here there were numerous visible sacrifices."

The complete sixth season will be available from Amazon.com, Amazon.ca, Amazon.co.uk and Amazon.de.
