Site Columns

Hello World!

Firstly, apologies for the lack of site columns the last two days, especially to those who read them for the tv listings... I think we both forgot to do them. Shouldn't not happen again, unless I'm doing Monday's update from 2-5am Tuesday morning.... Oh well.

The other day, however, I was thrilled to learn that a movie version of 'Good Omens' by Neil Gaiman of 'Sandman' fame and Terry Pratchett, author of the incredible 'Discworld' series, could be in the works. 'Good Omens' is probably one of the most-thumbed books in my slowly expanding book collection, and it's at the top of my recommended must-read list, along with 'Ender's Game' by Orson Scott Card and 'Soul Music' by the aforementioned Terry Pratchett. I just hope it makes the translation to the big screen well - I imagine it could be very difficult to capture the essence of a comedy about an angel and a demon who are searching for the antichrist they lost track of - the book parodies practically every antichrist horror flick under the sun - and fitting in all the gratuitous 'Queen' references could be hard too.
