This image is copyright of John Cook Work on the new Sev Trek movie continues with the announcement that there will be a preview screening at this year’s Multiverse convention in Melbourne this June, which will be attended by John Cook.

The movie, a truly international project, features the voices of USA comedian Wally Fields, 3d animation by Australian Andrew Simpson, music by Canadian Don Rae and the writing/direction of the man himself, Australian cartoonist John Cook. At present, the movie, which is based around the Sev trek comic ‘Pus In Boots’, looks to be around 45 minutes in length. Current plans are for it to be released on video in both PAL and NTSC formats, while there are hope to eventually release it on DVD.

Although he doesn’t believe the movie will be done by then, John hopes to have 3/4 of it available for screening at the con. For those unlucky enough not to be in Melbourne for the convention, there are a number of screenshots of the movie, which come with the animator’s explanations, available at the site, as are several versions of their trailer, all mirrored here at TrekToday. Also below you’ll find the latest Sev Trek competition.
