James Cawley, creator of the fan film production Star Trek New Voyages, visited the Star Trek XI set recently. He was offered a part in the film and will be playing a Starfleet officer on the Enterprise, according to Trekmovie.com.
Trekmovie.com reports that the extras casting agency working on the new Star Trek movie are looking for little people, 4'4" in height or less, for background work on the film.
Michael Giacchino, music composer for Star Trek XI, has been nominated for an Academy Award for his work in Ratatouille according to The Film Music Society.
According to USA Today, Zachary Quinto has made their top 100 people of 2007 list, placing fourteenth.
