Robert Beltran Interviewed

At the Mothership, Anna L. Kaplan has posted a new interview with Robert Beltran (Chakotay), from which it would seem that the actor is finally beginning to enjoy his work a bit more.

Apparently, Beltran rather liked two of this year's episodes - last week's 'Shattered' as well as the upcoming two-parter 'Worforce'. "['Shattered'] was a lot of fun. [...] It was just good stuff with Kate and I, some nice scenes with her and I, and that is always fun. ['Workforce'] was fun. It's a very good script. I got to do some of the stuff that I enjoy doing, a lot of action and fighting and getting bloodied up, that sort of thing."

In fact, in the interview Beltran also mentions he isn't necessarily welcoming the show's upcoming end. "I am torn in two ways", he says. "I am going to miss everybody. I love the cast and crew of this show. It's been terrific. However I am also very much looking forward to moving on and seeing what's next in my career. I am excited about the possibilities, pretty much just waiting to finish, and then we'll take it from there."

In the full interview, Beltran recalls some more favourite moments from the past seven years, and comments on the passing of Ray Walston (Boothby).
