Fox Orders Bryan Fuller Pilot

Fox yesterday greenlit a new genre pilot from former Star Trek: Voyager scribe Bryan Fuller.

The currently untitled pilot, previously called Maid of the Mist, is about a young woman who is able to communicate with animals, according to Variety.

Fuller's partner on the new project is director Todd Holland, a three-time Emmy winner for his work on Malcolm In The Middle and The Larry Sanders Show. 20th Century Fox and Regency TV are producing the pilot, which, if picked up as a series, will likely debut on Fox in fall 2003.

Since his departure from the Star Trek universe at the end of Voyager's run, Fuller has been working on a number of genre projects. He penned and executive produced last year's 'Carrie' TV movie, which was itself a back-door pilot for a possible series, and created the television show Dead Like Me, which will debut on Showtime later this year.
