Jolene Blalock will appear in a direct-to-DVD film, Shadow Puppets, with Buffy the Vampire Slayer's James Marsters.

TV Guide's Ausiello noted in the Entertainment column that Marsters "is taking a few weeks off from Smallville", where he currently plays Professor Fine, to shoot the horror movie with Enterprise's T'Pol. Ausiello describes Shadow Puppets as a "Saw-esque thriller."

In his own Ask Ausiello column, the writer added that Tony Todd, who played Worf's brother Kurn and other guest roles on three Star Trek series, will also appear in the movie.

The story, according to Ausiello, centers on four people in an abandoned asylum who have no memory of how they got there. "They soon discover that they were subjects of an experiment — an experiment gone haywire."

The shoot for Shadow Puppets will take five weeks. The original item is at TV Guide.
