Biller To Take Over Voyager

Over at Cinescape.com, Cinescape magazine contributors Gregory L. Norris and Laura A. Van Vleet are reporting that Voyager's seventh season will not be helmed by Brannon Braga, but that instead Kenneth Biller will be the series' executive producer during its final season. Several of the most recent Voyager episodes, including 'Child's Play' and 'Good Shepherd', were apparently already directly supervised by Biller.

According to the report, Brannon Braga will be leaving Voyager to work on Series V, together with Rick Berman. Braga took over the position of executive producer on Voyager after the show's fourth season.

Now might also be a good time to remind you of early November 1999, when we printed a letter from a Paramount insider, who not only reported about the first two Series V ideas being rejected by the studio, but also about Kenneth Biller's contract specifying he would become Voyager's Executive Producer for the final season. Biller had been able to negotiate this as part of his return to Voyager, after he had left the show just a few months earlier. Of course, the fact that this aspect of the report has now been confirmed from another source also means the rest of the report is a lot more likely to be true.
