The producers of The Great American Dream Vote are looking for a few good Star Trek fans to appear on their show and have their fantasies fulfilled.

StarTrek.com reports that the new ABC show is hunting for Star Trek fans to participate on the series, which showcases ordinary people with fantasies they hope to have fulfilled. At the conclusion of each episode, viewers at home will vote on which person most deserves to have his or her dream fulfilled.

The series may be broadcast as soon as next month, and the producers e-mailed The Trek Nation as well as the official Star Trek site looking for interested fans. Variety stated that producer Mike Fleiss, who created The Bachelor, intends to keep the show lighthearted rather than featuring people who need surgery for cancer and the like.

"Are you the biggest Star Trek fan ever? Do you eat, sleep and dream Vulcan?" inquired the producers, who said The Great American Dream Vote wants to hear Star Trek fantasies. Interested fans are asked to contact Kim Kessler at realitytvcast@yahoo.com with "Star Trek" in the subject line.

Fans must be prepared to submit digital photos among other application requirements.
