Hello World!

Following the… success of yesterday's song, I thought I'd change tack again, before I convince you all that I've completely lost the plot – that is, if I haven't convinced you already. I'll begin with the plug I've been ordered to give by one Caillan Davenport, who recently discovered that *I've* recently discovered Babylon 5. He said:

And I hope you'll take this opportunity to plug B5 in the next site columns you do...

You could also mention that in the General Science Fiction forum we're discussing each episode as it airs in the US on the sci-fi channel....

Far be it from me to deny a request… Either that or I'm just a sucker. Probably the latter really. Most likely the latter, now that I think of it.

In other news today, I really need to come up with a better way to change topics. Kidding. Actually, the other day I received an e-mail from the Bastard in Front of Me, aka the guy who leans his chair back to the fullest extent during air-travel, much to my airtime discomfort. Well, I now admit that myself and the BIFOM are probably in the same boat – or at least the guy who wrote to me in this instance, a tall gent who has a back problem. However, that does not excuse a previous BIFOM, my high -school drama teacher – who is shorter than I am and has no back problems what-so-ever. Hmmph. But, as my e-mailer pointed out, due to the insurgence in 'economy class syndrome' airlines are now extending leg room, at least in the US. Also, as I discovered last night, the new Airbus super-jumbo has now received enough order to begin production, so the future is looking brighter for me and my long-legged and sore-backed brethren. In the meantime, however, it looks as though I'll either have to grin and bear it, continue to trip up people in the aisles, request one of the front seats and put up with movies at neck-breaking angles or somehow worm my way up into first-class.
