  • NBC postponed the network television premiere of 'Star Trek: Insurrection' for the second time this Sunday after a basketball game ran longer than expected. 'Insurrection' was originally supposed to air in early September, but was preempted by NBC News coverage of the September 11 attacks. A new airdate for 'Insurrection' is not yet known.   • 'Q' at Section 31 has put up a review of 'Trekkers: True Stories by Fans for Fans,' a new book in which fans describe how Star Trek changed them and how they tried to implement Gene Roddenberry's philosophies into their lives.

  • Famous actress Ashley Judd told the Sci-Fi Wire that, despite rumours to the contrary, she will not have a cameo role as Robin Lefler in 'Star Trek: Nemesis.' "That's on a bio on the Internet," Judd told the site, "and I think that they have been sent a legal letter and have removed it."

  • The official Star Trek site reports that LeVar Burton (Geordi LaForge) has won another two Daytime Emmys for his work on the educational series Reading Rainbow. Burton won in the categories 'Best Performer in a Children's Series' and 'Best Children's Series,' the same he won last year.

  • Former Trek writer-producer Ron Moore recently talked about writing the new Battlestar Galactica at Sci-Fi Pulse.

  • Indie comedy 'Jane White is Sick and Twisted', starring Wil Wheaton (Wesley Crusher), recently won the Best Comedy Feature Award at the Hollywood Underground Film Festival.
