Star Trek Emmy Nominations

The Academy of Television Arts & Sciences announced today the full list of nominees for the 52nd annual Primetime Emmy awards, in over 80 categories. Here is the full list of awards for which 'Voyager' has been nominated:

  • 'Outstanding Costumes for a Series', for 'The Muse'. The other nominees are 'Any Day Now', 'Providence', 'Sex and the City', 'The Sopranos' and 'The West Wing'.
  • 'Outstanding Hairstyling for a Series', for 'Dragon's Teeth'. The other nominees are 'Buffy the Vampire Slayer', 'MADtv', 'Saturday Night Live', 'The Sopranos' and 'That '70s Show'.br>
  • 'Outstanding Makeup for a Series', for 'Ashes to Ashes'. The other nominees are 'Angel', 'MADtv', 'That '70s Show' and 'The X-Files'.
  • 'Outstanding Music Composition for a Series', for 'Spirit Folk', probably the only award this episode will ever be nominated for. The other nominees are 'Falcone', 'Felicity', 'The X-Files' and 'Xena: Warrior Princess'.
  • 'Outstanding Sound Editing for a Series', for 'Equinox, Part Two'. The other nominees are 'ER', 'The Others', 'Third Watch' and 'The X-Files'.
  • 'Outstanding Special Visual Effects for a Series', for both 'Life Line' and 'The Haunting of Deck Twelve'. The other nominees are 'Stargate SG-1' and two 'X-Files' episodes.
'Voyager' is this year's genre series with the most nominations, ahead of 'The X-Files', which received only 6. The full list of Emmy nominees can be found here. The big winners this year were 'The Sopranos' and 'The West Wing', who both received an equal number of nominations.
