Paramount Pictures recently announced several important members of the 'Star Trek: Nemesis' production team.

Industry veteran Jeffrey L. Kimball is filling the role of director of photography, according to a press release at StarTrek.com. A cinematographer for over thirty years, Kimball has worked on films such as 'Top Gun,' 'Beverly Hills Cop II' and 'Mission Impossible II.'

Kimball took over the role from Matthew F. Leonetti, who served on 'Star Trek: First Contact' and 'Star Trek: Insurrection.' Dante Spinotti, director of photography on The Insider, was previously rumoured to be in the running for the job (story).

Acting as co-producer is long-time Trek associate Peter Lauritson, a role he filled on all previous TNG features. Lauritson has been with the franchise in a production capacity since TNG's first season, working on Deep Space Nine, Voyager and now Enterprise as a supervising producer.

Marty Hornstein, another Trek regular, is serving as executive producer and unit production manager, positions which he also filled on 'Star Trek: First Contact' and 'Star Trek: Nemesis.' He also worked as co-producer and unit production manager on 'Star Trek VI: The Undiscovered Country.'

Directed by Stuart Baird and produced by Rick Berman, 'Star Trek: Nemesis' was written by John Logan from a story by Logan, Berman and Brent Spiner (Data).
