Star Trek Monthly - copyright Titan MagazinesTrek fans will have the chance to convey their thoughts on the future of the franchise to those who can make a difference in a new Star Trek Monthly feature .

Entitled 'Channel Open', the forum will not only allow fans and Star Trek personnel to interact on a creative level, but is also intended to stimulate debate on the direction of the franchise.

Viewers will be encouraged to send in their ideas to Star Trek Monthly on a variety of topics relating to the franchise, anything from ship and costume designs to concepts for Enterprise episodes, the next series or feature film. Star Trek Monthly intends to present these ideas to various members of the Trek production team, ranging from graphic artists to the producers. It is hoped the pros will then be able to provide feedback on the ideas in subsequent issues of the magazine.

The first edition of this new forum will focus on ideas for Enterprise's third season. Fans should not submit spec scripts (although story ideas will be accepted) and are asked to include their names and addresses with all submissions.

Full details on the 'Channel Open' forum can be found in issue 107 of Star Trek Monthly, on newsstands now.
