Enterprise's T'Pol, Jolene Blalock, switches science fiction universes tonight to appear on Stargate SG-1.

The actress plays Ishta, a priestess in an Amazon-like culture of Jaffa warrior women. According to GateWorld, she must protect young girls from extinction by a man who believes that only male children should be allowed to live.

Though Ishta has been helping to save the females, they require symbiotes to survive puberty and can only get them by killing male Jaffa. The SG-1 team offers a medical solution, but not all of Ishta's allies are receptive.

The episode was written by series regular Christopher Judge, whose character, Teal'c, is a love interest for Blalock's.

"Teal'c gets to have a bit of romance with Ishta, and Sam gets to take the lead because these female Jaffa are highly suspicious of male warriors," noted another report at GateWorld.

"Birthright" airs at 9 p.m. Eastern Time and reruns at 11 p.m. on Sci-Fi.
