Jeffrey Combs (Weyoun) will soon be adding another alien to his Star Trek resume, as he is set to play an Andorian in Enterprise.

"Star Trek: Enterprise called and asked if I would appear in episode 5 of the new series," Combs told his official fan club. "I was reticent at first, but ultimately my curiosity got the better of me!"

The actor offered a little insight into the race he would be portraying. "I'll be playing an Andorian," he said. "They were a race introduced in The Original Series, but not utilized very much. They're blue with white hair and antennae and an edge. They despise Vulcans."

Episode five will be written by Enterprise co-creators and executive producers Rick Berman and Brannon Braga. No other details are currently known about the episode.

Combs has played a variety of Trek guest characters, including the recurring roles of the Vorta Weyoun and FCA Liquidator Brunt on Deep Space Nine. In the series's penultimate instalment, 'The Dogs Of War,' the actor had the rare honour of playing both characters in the same episode.
