Sirtis: Trek X Last TNG Film

Earlier this week, Marina Sirtis (Deanna Troi) was in London to open the Federation Science Exhibition, currenly docked at the Science Museum. While in England, she also gave several interviews, and one of those appeared on ITV's teletext service. Online, it's now been transcribed by [trek]zone.

Not too surprisingly, Sirtis said that the upcoming Next Generation feature film will also be the last one for this crew. "The 10th movie will probably be my last. I don't think she'll [Deanna Troi] will be killed off but it will make the last film for our cast."

The lack of new TNG work doesn't mean that Sirtis isn't able to act anymore. As previously reported, she already had guest spots on 'Earth: Final Conflict', 'Stargate SG-1' and of course 'Voyager', but now she'll also likely be appearing in an episode of the BBC series 'Casualty'. "I want to to do a one-off episode. I live in the US and there is going to be an actor's strike so I'll come over to the Uk for it. Everyone thinks that getting on Star Trek stops you getting work in other shows. But it hasn't. We've all gone on to do other things and the work keeps coming."
