Hello World!

It took me four attempts and the guidance of a TrekBBS miscellaneous forum moderator to defeat the Magic Master at the top of the Fanatics Tower. The annoying man was easy to kill, but used an Ultima spell as his final attack, which instantly killed every member of my party. At last, I succeeded in killing the beast, and have stolen his treasure and continued in my quest.

Final Fantasy VI is just lovely. :)

I also finished a great book series today. I've been reading The Deed of Paksenarrion by Elizabeth Moon, and it's been quite a while since I read a book I enjoyed so much.

The author manages to take a fantasy cliche and somehow make it new and worthwhile; creating rich characters in an epic Universe that is thoroughly worth reading. The spirituality aspect of the book is something that I found quite new, and refreshing in its simplicity. The way the book is written is fluid and graceful, and the exacting detail of the military and political world invigorates the storyline.

I really liked it. Highly recommended for anyone after a decent read.
