Captain Archer will once again come face to face with the Klingon Empire in the upcoming 'Sleeping Dogs'.

UPN today released the below synopsis of the episode, which has been posted online at Psi Phi:

When Enterprise comes across a wounded Klingon vessel, T'Pol, Hoshi, and Reed take a shuttle pod down to investigate. There they are ambushed by a hostile female Klingon who hijacks the shuttle pod, leaving the Enterprise crewmembers dangerously stranded on the Klingon vessel. Now it is up to Archer to take the Klingon under guard and enlist her help in rescuing his crew.

'Sleeping Dogs' was written by Enterprise consulting producer Fred Dekker, who previously penned the teleplay for 'The Andorian Incident'. The episode was directed by industry veteran Les Landau, whose work includes episodes of JAG, Sliders and all Trek series from The Next Generation onward.

The following guest cast list was also released:

  • Michelle C. Bonilla as Bu'kah
  • Stephen Lee as Klingon Captain

Bonilla is probably best known for her role of Teresa Morales on Dr Quinn, Medicine Woman. She has guest-starred on series such as Judging Amy and NYPD Blue in addition to having appeared in numerous ER episodes as Harms.

Lee has featured in Trek before as Chorgan in TNG's 'The Vengeance Factor' and a bartender 'Gambit, Part I.' Previous genre roles include Dan Vogelsang in Dark Angel's first season and Sheriff Bo Loman in three episodes of Quantum Leap.

According to previous rumours, the Enterprise crewmembers will find the crew of the Klingon vessel unconscious, and infected by a virus (story). The only Klingon not infected is Bu'kah, the cook, who attempts to hinder the Enterprise crew's attempts to find a cure.

'Sleeping Dogs' will air 8:00pm January 30 on UPN. The original press release can be found here at Psi Phi.
