Ryan To Dry Out On 'The OC'

Jeri Ryan cast on The OC in a recurring role in the recurring role of a woman with a secret.

Variety reports that Ryan, who became famous as Seven of Nine on Star Trek: Voyager before being cast in Boston Public, where she played a teacher, is returning to the FOX network to appear in its very successful nighttime soap. She will play Charlotte Morgan, a recovering alcoholic who becomes buddies with Kirsten (played by Kelly Rowan) in rehab where the latter is trying to trying to regain control of her life as well.

Ryan is scheduled to appear in at least seven episodes of The OC, which starts its third season on September 8th, 2005. The Futon Critic has a summary of events as they stood at the end of last season. TV Guide's Michael Ausiello offered some spoilers about upcoming events involving characters Marissa and Trey.

Last spring Ryan played an adulterous woman on a CBS pilot, The Commuters, but the show was not picked up by the network. She also had a recurring guest role on Two and a Half Men. She had a regular role on Dark Skies and has appeared in the films Down With Love and Dracula 2000.
