Trek Actors In Upcoming Films

A few days ago, TrekWeb reported about two upcoming movies that will feature Star Trek actors. In the first place there's 'Deep Core', a "tale of volcanic disaster", starring Terry Farrell (Jadzia Dax) and Wil Wheaton (Wesley Crusher). In the film, a greedy, capitalist businessman accidentally sets off a chain of events that leads to seismic activity of globally destructive prorportions. Only a special team of geologists, headed by Farrel's character, can save the world as we know it.

The film will be premiering on the British version of the Sci-Fi Channel this month, but was released on video in Australia over a month ago already. Photos and a trailer are available here.

Secondly, Chase Masterson (Leeta) announced at the recent DragonCon that she has landed the lead role in the 2001 film 'Lightning'. She announced this only a few minutes after receiving the DragonCon 2000 FanFavorite Award. A few comments from Ms Masterson on both news items can be found here.
