'Nemesis' Principal Photography Finishes

'Star Trek: Nemesis' graphic artist Rick Sternbach today said main filming on the next TNG film has finished.

Speaking to StarTrek UK, Sternbach said that principal photography was "pretty much done," with the exception of some possible second unit shooting. The second unit in films generally shoots those scenes that the main film crew does not have time to film, including stunts or action scenes that do not involve the principal actors. For that reason, it is likely that most of the 'Nemesis' stars have also already completed work on the film.

Sternbach's own department, the Graphics Department, reportedly finished its work on the film on Tuesday. The department had been in operation since October, which also marked Sternbach's momentary return to the Trek franchise (story). Previously, he worked as senior illustrator on Star Trek: Voyager.

According to Star Trek UK, visual effects house Digital Domain has now begun work on the film. The company will have ample time to finish this, as 'Nemesis' is not expected to be released until November or December of this year.
