René Auberjonois will reprise his role of Father Patrick Murphy, a painful part of detective Grace Hanadarko's past, in Saving Grace.

As reported by The OCregister, Auberjonois will be appearing again on Saving Grace in the second-season opener as a priest who molested Grace when she was a child and setting up a dilemma for the detective who is trying to redeem her life.

Saving Grace is about a woman bound for Hell who is given a chance to redeem her life with the help of an angel named Earl sent to aid her. Grace is a homicide detective who in spite of being a good cop is a rather flawed human being. Grace drinks heavily, chain-smokes and is having an affair with her married partner in addition to engaging in one-night stands with other men.

Auberjonois appeared in the season-one finale (Taco, Tulips, Duck and Spices) as the pedophile priest Father Murphy. In Have a Seat, Earl, Grace will confront Murphy, who abused her from the age of nine until the age of twelve. Have a Seat, Earl will air on Monday, July 14, at 10 P.M. on TNT.
