Jolene Blalock (T'Pol) could soon be jumping from the 22nd century into the world of comic book superheroes.

According to the Hollywood Reporter (via Cinescape), Blalock is one of four actresses currently being considered for the role of Elektra in the upcoming 'Daredevil' film based on the comic book series.

The other candidates are Jennifer Garner, currently starring in the new series Alias, Mia Maestro and Rhona Mitra. Maestro has appeared in films such as 'Tango' and 'Timecode' while Mitra was the original live-action model for Lara Croft in the 'Tomb Raider' gaming series.

Daredevil is a blind super-hero who possesses a 'radar' sense that allows him to 'see' his surroundings in 360 degrees. In the comic books, Elektra is a former girlfriend who later becomes a freelance assassin.

Depending on the film's reception, an Elektra spin-off series could be in the works. The movie will be directed by Mark Steven Johnson, with Ben Affleck in the title role.

The original report can be found here at Cinescape. Thanks to 'Jean Prouvaire' for this!
