Hello World!

There is something decidedly odd about being interviewed for a job after spending a morning interviewing someone else. Not that I actually asked the questions on, erm, Tuesday morning or Monday night, whatever it was for you - Christian handled that side of things while I worked behind the scenes - admittedly the place I'm most comfortable. Something else that's decidedly odd, as Christian noted in yesterday's 'Hello World' is that the chat was scheduled for rather inconvenient times for myself and especially the man himself, in order to cater to the US audience. And the two interviewees as well. But that's show business, I guess.

In other news, I recently re-discovered the joys of MP3s and have thus spent the last few days plugged into my computer (when the damn thing's been working), listening to songs I haven't heard in ages and love, like 'It's the End of the World as We Know it (and I feel fine)' by REM, songs I heard once and fell in love with, but never heard again like 'Summertime' by the Sundays, great new ones like 'Teenage Dirtbag' by Wheatus and ones from bands the vast majority of you out there have never even heard of, like Powderfinger who are on my 'recommended listen list' ('My Happiness' and 'Passenger' are two of my favourites), Killing Heidi ('Weir'), Regurgitator ('Crush the Losers' & 'Freshmint'. I even have got 'Timewarp' from the Rocky Horror Picture Show and Monty Python's 'The Philosopher's Song'. Currently I'm trying to find a copy of 'Stairway to Heaven' as performed by the Sydney Philharmonic Choir (I think that's what they're called). As you might have guessed, I have somewhat varied taste in music. This is why people never give me CDs for Christmas, much to my disapointment. Can I help it if I'm hard to please?

Seven's imminent core disintegration opens the door for another Borg to calculate the only possible solution - the transference of his Borg core to her. When Seven realizes the potential danger to his physiology she summarily rejects the proposal. But the Borg secretly disconnects his own cortical node so that his theory can be proved and Seven's life saved.
