It has been several months since the last Star Trek XI trailer was released with the James Bond movie Quantum of Solace, but word comes that this spring, a third Star Trek XI trailer will appear at the theater.

As reported by ComingSoon.net, fans hungry for new Star Trek XI footage won't have long to wait, as a new trailer for the J.J. Abrams movie is due out in early March.

The new trailer will be paired with Watchmen in the theaters. Watchmen is an alternate reality movie, set in 1985 America where Richard Nixon is still president and the Vietnam War was won by South Vietnam. In Watchmen, costumed superheroes are part of everyday society, but they have been outlawed with only some of them permitted to operate under government control. After a murder, a plot to discredit and murder superheroes is discovered and a group of retired superheroes gathers to find the killer.

The new Star Trek XI trailer will appear on March 6th and will feature brand-new footage. It will also be online starting March 9th on Apple.com and on the official Star Trek site.
