UPN Denies 'Enterprise' Schedule Change Rumors

Mediaweek's Programming Insider, Marc Berman, who yesterday reported that UPN was considering moving Star Trek: Enterprise to Friday nights, now says that UPN denies the move.

"Just yesterday UPN assured me that Star Trek: Enterprise is by no means moving to Friday," Berman wrote in his column. "Although ratings are down year-to-year, the sci-fi drama still has an audience and is not ready to head to that big spaceship in the sky."

Just yesterday, TrekToday reported on Berman's claim that UPN was considering moving the show to Friday nights and noted "there really could be trouble ahead for the vulnerable Star Trek series" (story).

This news came hand-in-hand with the news from Dark Horizons that Enterprise's usual season of 26 episodes might be scaled back to 24. Reporter Garth Franklin cited a Paramount memo as the source of this story, which TrekWeb later claimed it had confirmed with UPN.
