Star Trek: New Voyages has released a special one-year-anniversary edition of "In Harm’s Way", the year-old episode that has been downloaded 16 million times.

Jack Marshall, executive producer of the internet fan series, said that the producers "wanted to do something for the one year anniversary of our webisode so we came up with this 'enhanced' version." A few weeks ago the New Voyages crew wrapped filming the third episode, which stars Walter Koenig. In addition, four short films have been completed for release in the coming months.

"But before those films arrive, we wanted to give the fans something fun to watch in the meantime," added Marshall. "We’re extremely pleased with the response the [first] episode has received. It certainly motivated us to go one step further with webisode 3."

"Center Seat", the first short film, will be available for download in early November. The remaining short films will be released every 6 to 8 weeks before a full episode written by D.C. Fontana, "To Serve All My Days".
