Anton Yelchin's Fierce People has opened in limited release, allowing fans to catch a recent glimpse of the actor cast as Chekov in the upcoming Star Trek movie.

The official web site for the movie hosts the trailer and information about the cast, which also includes Donald Sutherland, Diane Lane, Chris Evans and Kristen Stewart.

The film has a MySpace page with webisode clips.

Apple also has a trailer for the film, directed by Griffin Dunne, with a plot summary that reads:

Finn Earl (Anton Yelchin) has an opportunity to visit his anthropologist Dad, during the summer, helping with his study and observations of a primitive South American tribe called Ishkanani, or “Fierce People.” After a series of events prevent this trip from happening, Finn and his Mom, Liz Earl, (Diane Lane) end up spending the summer staying with Ogden C. Osborne (Donald Sutherland) and observing his very wealthy family on their sprawling estate in the ‘wilds’ of New Jersey. The summer turns out to be a life-altering experience for everyone, especially Finn, who learns more about fierce people in New Jersey than he might have if he had joined his father in South America.

The IESB has six clips from the film, including a quarrel between Yelchin's Finn and the billionaire played by Sutherland.
