NCC-1701 Models Warp To Collectors

The Polar Lights model kit for the Original Series Enterprise is now available to dealers.

Playing Mantis has images of the completed model and its box. The kit is rated Level 1.

As originally reported, the finished ship is 11" long, in a 1:1000 scale. The kit contains over 50 pieces, some of which snap together.

The ship is packaged with parts and markings that allow it to be built as a pilot version instead of the familiar NCC-1701.

Coming later this fall will be the Enterprise NX-01 Glue Kit, rated at Level 2, approximately 24" long in a 1:350th scale. Images may be found at the model-maker's site, Thomas Models.

More information is available from Playing Mantis, which also has a list of dealers on the site.
