UPN To Air Last 'Enterprise' This Weekend

UPN will air its last-ever episode of Star Trek: Enterprise this weekend, concluding more than ten years of first-run broadcasts of Star Trek.

The network has already replaced Friday night reruns of the cancelled Enterprise with movies, such as Angel Eyes this upcoming Friday, June 10th. Now StarTrek.com has announced that there are no more scheduled rerun broadcasts.

Since Enterprise completed its run on May 13th, UPN had offered Enterprise reruns to affiliates for weekend airings. But after "In a Mirror, Darkly Part Two" this upcoming weekend, Enterprise will cease to appear on UPN. During previous years, Enterprise (and, before that, Voyager) repeated throughout the summer.

In brighter news for fans, however, syndication of Star Trek: Enterprise will begin the weekend of September 17th, when Enterprise will relaunch in virtually every major media market in the United States. One episode will air per weekend with individual UPN stations setting the local dates and times. The first scheduled episode will be the pilot, "Broken Bow". The complete series is expected to be out on DVD in box sets by the end of 2005 as well.

The announcement is at StarTrek.com.
