The Writers Guide of America will be holding a "Day to Honor Star Trek Writers" on Monday, December 10, from 11 A.M. to 3 P.M. on the Paramount picket lines.

Former Star Trek writers and other personnel including actors, directors and production people are invited to the special salute to Star Trek. They will be entertained by the Intergalactic Blues Band. It is hoped that many will be in attendance, including those working on Star Trek XI.

In other strike news, those participating in Pencils2MediaMoguls, a campaign to get people to buy pencils and to send them to the six media moguls who run the six corporate conglomerates, will be eligible for special raffles. Pencils, symbolic of writers, will be sent a truckload at a time if purchased from Pencils2MediaMoguls. It is hoped that by doing this in a united way, it will have a large impact, such as the campaign to send peanuts to CBS by Jericho fans did. Prizes will be offered of interest to fans of Lost, Battlestar Galactica, Eureka and Smallville.
