  • Via his Messageboards, William Shatner denied recent reports of a heart problem that supposedly occurred during hip replacement surgery last month at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. "I'm in absolute perfect health," said Shatner, posting today in response to phone calls and emails. "I've never felt better in my life. Somebody made up an absolutely foolish story."

  • Robert Picardo will be joining the cast of Stargate: Atlantis as the new head of the Atlantis expedition according to SyFy Portal. His character will be replacing Samantha Carter, played by Amanda Tapping who replaced Elizabeth Weir, who was played by Torri Higginson. Picardo will be reprising his role of Richard Woolsey, who was a civilian representative of the International Oversight Committee in Stargate SG-1.

  • Torontoist.com is reporting that Robert Picardo (The EMH) and John De Lancie ("Q") will be hosting Star Trek: The Musical, the season finale from the Toronto Symphony Orchestra. The TSO will play a medley of Star Trek themes with conductor Erich Kunzel. The season finale will take place on June 20 and 21.
