Sci-Fi Expo: Stewart Will Be Back

Patrick Stewart (Jean-Luc Picard) will be coming to Canada this fall after being forced to cancel a recent appearance there due to his undergoing heart surgery, as previously reported.

Stewart was to be the guest of honour at Canada's National Sci-Fi Expo (SFX) held in Toronto last weekend. However, fans need not be disappointed, as all ticket-holders will be able to see him in what is being termed a "very special appearance" later in the year, according to Canadian TV show HypaSpace.

Fans weren't entirely disappointed when it came to appearances at SFX, though -- TNG regulars Michael Dorn (Worf) and LeVar Burton (Geordi LaForge) were there to fill in for their co-star... and have a couple of jokes at his expense.

"Uh, he's old, he's very old," joked Burton, adding "...it's a day by day proposition when you reach that stage in life". "What is he, about ninety-five now?" retorted Dorn.
