John Billingsley (Doctor Phlox) will be pulling double duty in the next few months, as he juggles filming episodes of Enterprise with a part in the film 'Out of Time.'

Billingsley has scored a supporting role in the Denzel Washington thriller, according to his official web site. Production started in Florida in May, with Billingsley expected to be involved in filming until September.

Penned by David Collard and directed by Carl Franklin ('High Crimes'), the film stars Academy Award-winner Washington as Marty Walsh, a small town police chief who is double-crossed by his lover. Sanaa Lathan plays the treacherous object of his desire, while Lois & Clark: The New Adventures of Superman star Dean Cain appears as her husband. It is not currently known which role Billingsley will be playing.

Distributor MGM is reportedly banking on 'Out of Time' being one of their blockbuster films for 2003, with Washington receiving a $20 million paycheck for his role. Franklin previously worked with Washington in 'Devil in a Blue Dress'; he also directed Billingsley in the Ashely Judd (Robin Lefler)/Morgan Freeman-starrer 'High Crimes.'

Billingsley has had to cancel all of his upcoming personal appearances due to the filming schedule. The original report can be found here at JohnBillingsley.net.
