'Voyager' Ratings

Greg Fuller has updated the Star Trek Nielsen Ratings Information Database with the final ratings for 'Muse', last week's new Voyager episode. Following the disastrous 'Live Fast And Prosper' ratings, 'Muse' also didn't perform too well:

"Muse" earned another very disappointing mark for Voyager, showing only a minor improvement from last week's 3.1 with a 3.3 rating, 5 share. While that is up from last week, it's well off the season average, falling below every show this season with the exception of "Live Fast and Prosper" and the Grammy-opposed "Spirit Folk."

With Fox keeping a stronger show in the 9 p.m. slot, Voyager finished with another 5th place mark. The 3.3 rating was good enough to beat "Felicity"'s 2.4, but wasn't near "Party of Five"'s 4.6 in 4th. "Seven Days" was at a 2.3 and "WWF Smackdown!" brought home its strongest rating yet, a 5.4. It is worthy of note that "Smackdown" is still not beating the marks set by Voyager as recently as early season four.

The full report notes that this is an ominous sign for Voyager, and does not bode well for the season's final episodes.

Some better news, however, comes from Greg's overnight ratings report for 'Fury', yesterday's sweeps episode featuring the return of Kes:

"Fury" rose to one of Voyager's best overnights of the later half of the season, taking a 4.9 rating, 7 share. That's up from last week's 4.5/7 and the previous week's rating from "Live Fast and Prosper." It's also well above the season average.

Info on timeslot competition as well as what this will mean for the final ratings can be found in the full report.
