  • The Australian release of the Next Generation DVD boxed sets is now available to pre-order from HMV.com.au. The first season set has a price tag of $230.95 and a release date of 10/05/2002. Thanks to Shaun Turner for this news!

  • William Shatner (James T. Kirk) and Leonard Nimoy will me making an appearance in Los Angeles at FYE in the Century City Shopping Mall on Sunday, March 17th from 2 to 4 p.m. They will be promoting and signing copies of 'Mind Meld: Secrets Behind the Voyage of a Lifetime.'   • The new Contest at the LCARS Computer Network offers a chance to win a copy of the 'Broken Bow' novelisation sighed by Scott Bakula (Jonathan Archer). For details of the contest, follow this link.

  • According to TrekWeb, New Zealand's Prime Network will be showing Enterprise at 7:30 p.m on Sunday evenings.

  • Patrick Stewart's (Jean-Luc Picard) TV movie 'King of Texas' will be shown on TNT in June. The cable network has a web page devoted to the film, which updates Shakespeare's classic 'King Lear' to a setting in 1840's Texas.

  • A lengthy summary of the pilot episode of Buffy the Vampire Slayer creator Joss Whedon's sci-fi series Firefly is available here at Aint it Cool News. The series will star several actors who made guest appearances in Star Trek.

  • The script of the X-Men movie, that starred Patrick Stewart (Jean-Luc Picard) as Professor X, was among the nominees for the 2002 Nebula Awards. For a full list of nominees, follow this link to the SciFi Wire.

  • Psi Phi's Books Database reports that a new Enterprise novel, 'By the Book' by Max Allan Collins, is scheduled for a September release. No other information about the title is currently available, but it is listed here at Psi Phi.

  • Also at Psi Phi, is the news that William Shatner's (James T. Kirk) and Judith & Garfield Reeves-Stevens next Star Trek novel will be 'The Captain's Peril.' It is set to be released in October.
